Jackie and David Siegel spoke exclusively to INSIDE EDITION about their daughter Victoria's drug addiction before her overdose death in June.
Queen of Versailles stars Jackie and David Siegel have revealed they had no idea just how bad their daughter's drug addiction was.
In an exclusive interview with INSIDE EDITION, the couple spoke about the pain of losing their 18-year-old daughter Victoria, who passed away from an accidental overdose last month.
Her parents said they did not know the extent of her addiction.
"She camouflaged it really well," Jackie told INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent. "You can look at our photo albums, she doesn't have glassy eyes or anything."
"We really weren't aware," her father continued. "I got a call one day and she said, I checked myself into a rehab, I'm hooked on Xanax."
On Wednesday, the medical examiner's office announced that Victoria's death was an accident caused by "acute mathadone and sertraline toxicity." Methadone is a prescription painkiller that's sometimes used to treat drug addiction while Sertraline treats depression.
Her father called her story "the perfect storm."
"Anything that could happen, happened," he said.
He said that she was having anxiety so went to a psychiatrist who prescribed Xanax. But she ended up in rehab, where she started dating a fellow patient.
"Then on their one-month anniversary she got a cyber text from his ex-girlfriend," he said. "The most vile [thing] a young girl in love could receive."
It "put her over the edge" he said.
She passed away on June 10.

"As a mother, I can say it's the most horrible thing that I have ever, ever experienced," Jackie said. "Personally I have not stepped foot in the house since Victoria died."
Her husband added: "I haven't been back to the house. One of the bedrooms was going to be hers."
The Siegels rose to fame with a film about their lavish lifestyle. Despite the tragedy, the couple say construction is continuing at their Florida super-mansion, which is expected to be finished by 2017.
Speaking to INSIDE EDITION, Jackie also opened up about the criticism she faced for taking a photo at her daughter's funeral. She denied she was taking selfies, as reports suggested at the time.
"It’s my last moment ever to remember my daughter and that day," she said. "There’s no book that tells you what you should and shouldn’t do at a funeral."
She added: "I just love my baby so much, I just want every last moment to remember her by."
In Victoria's memory, the Siegel family has set up a charity, the Victoria's Voice Foundation, to help save teens struggling with drug addiction.
David said: "We’re going to win this battle. We can’t save everybody but we’re going to make a dent... Her legacy is going to be that many people will live because she died."
His wife added: “'To lose' isn't in his vocabulary.”
