Donald Trump Calls Rosie O'Donnell a 'Fat Pig' During Debate, She Responds

Trump mentioned the comedian when moderator Megyn Kelly pointed out he had called woman "fat pigs, dogs, slobs" during Thursday's debate.

Donald Trump predictably caused a stir during Thursday evening's Republican debate.

And early on in the night, he turned on comedian Rosie O'Donnell.

Moderator Megyn Kelly asked the billionaire presidential hopeful about his disparaging comments towards women.

"You've called women fat pigs, dogs, slobs, disgusting animals," she said.

Trump raised his finger to interrupt and smiled: "Only Rosie O'Donnell."

The comment was met with applause from the audience. But O'Donnell wasn't quite so amused.

Trump added that he didn't have time for "total political correctness" and that he was just having "fun" with the comments.

It's not his first clash with O'Donnell.

In 2006, she likened him to the "snake-oil salesman" on Little House On The Prairie when he decided not to fire Miss USA Tara Connor following reports of alleged drug use.

He responded by calling O'Donnell a "dummy."

"She's an extremely unattractive person who doesn't understand the truth" he said. "She has failed at everything she has done."

Last year, O'Donnell called the exchange, "the most bullying I ever experienced in my life."
