Former Friend of 'Wolf of Wall Street' Reportedly Found Homeless, Sleeping on Pizza Boxes
He was once a king in the finance world as a stockbroker.
But now William “Preston” King, 52, is reportedly homeless and living on the streets of New York City. His plight was discovered when he was pictured sleeping on top of empty pizza boxes.
He lived the life of wealth and opulence depicted in the movie. He worked at companies like Merrill Lynch and Oppenheimer & Co., and lived in a swanky SoHo loft while driving a BMW.
His sister, Kristine, told the New York Post that he scored in the top two percent of his Series 7 stockbrokers exam despite dropping out of high school and NYU. He also spoke five languages.
However, according to the Post, the hard partying turned into a downward spiral and King ended up sleeping on the streets.
His family is now trying to find him so that they can get him help.
Kristine told the Post: “I want him to know his sister loves him and wants to get him help and wants to make sure he’s OK. I would go to the end of the Earth to protect and save him.”
