Jorge Ramos Fights Back After Donald Trump Kicked Him Out of Press Event: 'My Job is to Ask Questions'

Univision's Jorge Ramos got into a heated exchange with Donald Trump at a campaign rally and was thrown out of the event.

Donald Trump squared off with famed Univision anchorman Jorge Ramos during a news conference in Iowa on Tuesday night - then motioned to a security guard to eject the reporter.

Ramos was attempting to question Trump about his immigration policies when the two began arguing.

Trump told Ramos: “Go back to Univision!”

He was forced to wait outside in the hallway.

As Ramos was being escorted by security, he said: “I’m a reporter and I…Don’t touch me sir. You cannot touch me. I have the right to ask a question.”

Other reporters pressed Trump about why Ramos was thrown out.

“He is obviously a very emotional person,” Trump said.

The anchorman was finally allowed back into the news conference - where he had a testy exchange with the Republican presidential frontrunner.

Ramos said: “Here’s the problem with your immigration plan. It’s full of empty promises.”

Ramos spoke to CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Wednesday morning.

“When he realized he didn’t like my questions and when he realized what was going on, he tried to stop me,” he said.

Trump was on the Today show on Wednesday morning and told Matt Lauer: "I would have gotten to him very quickly. This man gets up and starts ranting and raving and screaming, and honestly being very disrespectful to all the other reporters."
