"What a wonderful day to be working!" the post read.

It added that the woman was "extremely upset about the recent loss of so many officers across the country."

She shared a hug with 20-year veteran Officer Chris Steiner - who was a bit of a challenge to embrace due to his height.

But "she managed to get ahold of him and hugged him great," the post added. "Not once but twice!!!"

Steiner told ABC7: "I go to almost every fatality that we have and every major crime that we have and it's nice to get a hug as compared to looking over the trauma."

The kind gesture comes after the recent deaths of police officers, including Illinois police Lieutenant Joe Gliniewicz, Louisiana Senior Trooper Steven Vincent and Officer Henry Nelson from Sunset, Louisiana.
