This Groom Lip-Synced His Favorite Love Songs For His Wedding Vows
Jared Basham relied on some of his favorite love songs to let his bride Kyndra know how he felt during their wedding ceremony.
He created a mash-up of songs including ‘You're the One That I Want’ from Grease and ‘I Swear’ by All-4-One before closing with Whitney Houston's ‘I Will Always Love You.’
Kyndra could do nothing but laugh throughout her groom’s performance.
The couple told INSIDE EDITION that while the music was playing loudly throughout the performance, he wasn’t only lip-syncing, he was actually singing along – very loudly. Photos snapped by Craig Hilliker Photography show just how much he got into the mash-up.
Jared and Kyndra, who are both in the military, have been together for two years after meeting in a bar near Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
Jared told INSIDE EDITION that he knew he wanted to do something memorable during their ceremony.
“It's just who I am, and I had to make sure she really knew who she was marrying,” he said. “I thought about what would make her laugh and smile the most while still being original.”
He decided to include the quirky performance because he would always serenade Kyndra over Skype from Japan, while she was stationed in Florida.
“Her face would light up,” he said. “I knew that's what I had to do.”
Kyndra, who was immediately deployed for six months after Jared proposed in December 2014, told INSIDE EDITION that their sense of fun has helped them overcome the long distance.
“It's a good thing we love each other so much and can keep it entertaining,” she said.
And the entertainment didn’t stop at the ceremony. The bridesmaids and groomsmen also broke out into a lip sync battle during the reception.
Kyndra said that her wedding – including seeing her husband-to-be become emotional as she walked down the aisle – was “everything a girl hopes for.”
