It's a shocking claim supposedly made by France's First Lady Carla Bruni.
A biography of Bruni alleges that Michelle Obama said being the First Lady is "hell."
The former model, who is married to French President Nicolas Sarkozy, reportedly asked Michelle Obama about being First Lady during a visit at the White House last March.
"Don't ask! It's hell," Michelle allegedly responded. "I can't stand it!"
The jaw-dropping conversation is detailed in a new tell-all book Carla et les Ambitieux (Carla and the Ambitious).
A White House spokesperson says, "The First Lady never said that."
And now even Bruni is denying Mrs. Obama ever made the statement. Her spokesperson says, "Mrs. Bruni distances herself completely from the content of the book. The authors alone are responsible for its contents."
The beautiful First Ladies seem like fast friends when they get together at summits and official visits. But according to the author of another Bruni biography, Carla: A Secret Life, her sole political ambition is to outshine Michelle, whom she sees as her only "challenge for the title of the world's sexiest and most glamorous first lady."
