Cheerleader Thrown Off Squad Because of Racy Cheer

INSIDE EDITION talks to the family of a 6-year-old girl who was kicked off a cheerleading squad after her mom said the routine was inappropriate for young girls.

This little girl is heartbroken, she was kicked off her cheerleading squad after her mom complained that a routine was too sexy.

INSIDE EDITION asks Kennedy Tesh how she's feeling right now. "Sad," Kennedyreplies.

It all started when 6-year-old Kennedy came home from cheerleading practice with this new cheer:

Our backs ache, our skirts are too tight, we shake our booties from left to right.

"I was just in shock, I just couldn't believe that those were the words. It's just not appropriate for that age group at all," said mom Jennifer Tesh.

Jennifer complained to her daughter's cheerleading coach, but the coach refused to drop the routine. Instead, Kennedy was thrown off the squad.

"It really does just break my heart and it was the hardest thing having to tell her, and I just couldn't believe that they punished her," Jennifer said.

Jennifer went public and the coach went thru the roof calling her a "lunatic" and a "nut bag" on local talk radio in Detroit.

Coach: "I am directly quoting this lunatic."
DJ: "Coach Lisa, Coach Lisa..."
Coach: "I'm telling you that lady is a nut bag."
DJ: "Lisa, you are coming off a little unprofessional. I hear you talk and I would not want my child to be on your cheer team."

The dispute is similar to the controversy that erupted last may over suggestive moves by a pre-teen dance troupe from California.

A racy "Single Ladies" routine by 8 and 9-year-olds caused an uproar, with some observers calling it inappropriate for the age group.

Now we have the case of the heartbroken little cheerleader.

INSIDE EDITION's Diane McInerney tells Kennedy not to "be sad, don't be worried, you're going to cheerlead again," to which Jennifer replies, "We're going to find her another team."
