Watch This Dad Parody Pop Songs While Feeding His Baby Son

One dad found a creative way to get his year-old son to eat by singing pop songs but altering the words about food.

By day, Charles Flartey is a stay-at-home dad and by night, he's a musician in the band The Yes Yes Yalls.

Now, in a series of videos, the New Jersey father has found a way to combine his love of music and fatherhood by crafting parody songs to get his one-year-old son, Tommy, to eat.

It's all very spontaneous," Flartey told INSIDE EDITION: "I sing nonsense songs to him all day anyway no matter what we're doing so it's just a matter of which one I happen to be singing when I decide to turn the camera on.”

His son loves it and Flartley said: “that’s why I keep doing it.”

He parodies everything from 112’s hit “Peaches and Cream” switching the lyrics from “Peaches and cream / I need it cause you know that I'm a fiend / Gettin' freaky in my Bentley limousine” to “Turkey and cheese — I need it 'cause you know that I'm a fiend. Gonna eat it 'till my high chair's clean.”

Flartey even manages to make a food version of R. Kelly’s explicit hit “Bump N’ Grind," changing the lyrics from “I don't see nothing wrong with a little bump and grind” to “"I don't see nothin' wrong with some yogurt for lunchtime.”

"It keeps him happy and busy," Flartey said.

But when asked if his musical stylings have led Tommy to eat more, Flartey said: "He definitely lets me knows when he's done though usually by making a mess instead of eating.”
