The magazine honored Jenner for being a "Transgender Champion."

As she accepted the award, Jenner said: "By making this decision and coming out, it was the best thing I ever did."

The internet blew up with commentary about her sapphire blue gown. The off-the-shoulder dress with black tuxedo lapels was a custom design by Moschino.

One online comment read: “She looks amazing."

Jenner, a former Olympian, joked about the difficulty of walking in the mermaid gown: “Getting up the stairs in this dress is more difficult than hurdling.”

Her daughter, Kylie, showed up to support her at the award ceremony on Monday night at New York’s famed Carnegie Hall.

Caitlyn said in a video montage that played before she took the stage: "I am so blessed I have family. And not one of them has abandoned me; they've all been support of me. It's incredible.”
