Watch This Daredevil Fly Around the Statue of Liberty Using a Jetpack

An Australian entrepreneur is making history as the first person to fly around the Statue of Liberty in a jetpack.

Australian entrepreneur David Mayman has seen the New York City skyline in a whole new way - by flying around the Statue of Liberty using a jetpack.

The pack took about a decade to make and finally made its maiden voyage on November 3.

"The miniature jet-turbine back pack is fast, powerful, and unlike rocket powered belts, safe and practical to operate," according to a press release.

Following the event, Mayman said: "It was an incredible experience, one I have been dreaming of since I was a young boy, it’s the culmination of decades of work by Nelson and me. But today is just the beginning.”
