NCIS Star Reveals She Was Nearly Murdered: 'He Showed Me How He Was Going to Kill Me'

Pauley Perrette says the terrifying attack near her L.A. home left her with nightmares.

Actress Pauley Perrette says she nearly lost her life during a vicious attack Thursday outside her home.

The NCIS star told her Twitter followers “I almost died tonight.”

“I literally got attacked and pinned and punched and almost killed by a schizophrenic homeless person tonight," she told KTLA news.

She was walking to her new home in Los Angeles when she was attacked by homeless man, she said.

“He grabbed me so forcefully, pinned my arm, punched me in the nose, forehead, repeatedly telling me he was going to kill me,” she said. "Then he showed how he was going to kill me."

Her assailant kept saying his name was William, the actress said. So she said she had a nephew named William, and that it was a beautiful name.

That prompted the man to let her go, she said.

She was able to help a police artist to create a composite drawing, which led to the arrest of a suspect.
