New Orleans Super Bowl Baby Boom

New Orleans Super Bowl Baby Boom

Airdate: 10/11/2010

When the New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl, the whole city went wild!

Finally they had something to celebrate after the nightmare of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Now, nine months later, a funny thing is happening in New Orleans: Babies! Lots and lots of babies!

Dr. Paul DuTreil at Touro Infirmary Hospital in New Orleans has seen a 25% increase in births over last year, and it's the same all over the city.

"People in New Orleans love to have a good time and this is one way they've chosen to express themselves," says Dr. DuTreil.

INSIDE EDITION's Megan Alexander went to New Orleans to meet some of those Super Bowl babies, all conceived around the time of the big game!

"The Super Bowl was very well celebrated in our house."

Three sisters, who are all pregnant, told Megan Alexander that it seems everyone they know is pregnant too!

INSIDE EDITION had a little surprise for the newest Saints fans and their parents! The Saints cheerleaders came by to help everyone celebrate.

And it's no surprise that everyone in the room is hoping for a reason for another baby boom next year!
