A Southern California woman drove over 1,000 miles from Texas to California with her dead husband along for the ride.
A Southern California woman was making the over 1,000-mile trip with her husband from Houston to La Mesa outside San Diego when he died. And she kept on going.
The unidentified woman left Houston with her husband after he was discharged from a hospital there following a stroke.

The 80-year-old man died at some point on the road, reports KGTV.
While she reportedly knew her husband had died, the unnamed woman continued on to La Mesa, police say.
Once in the town, she went directly to Sharp Grossmont Hospital early Monday.
The woman didn't stop at any point during the 23-hour trip, according to reports.

Local police said the woman at some point had contacted a mortuary but was told she needed a death certificate, so she drove to the hospital instead.
Police said the woman did nothing illegal and will not face any criminal charges.
