Former Edwards Aide Offered Money for Sex Tape

INSIDE EDITION is learning more about the alleged sex tape of John Edwards and his mistress Rielle Hunter that's shocking the nation.

“I'm positive it’s John Edwards, you can clearly see his face,” said Andrew Young, a former Edwards aide and author of "The Politician." He told Good Morning America that he's been offered millions for the tape.

“We haven't done anything with this sex tape and we've been offered,” Young said.

“Have you ever tried to sell it?” asked George Stephanopoulos, the host of Good Morning America.

“We've been offered gigantic sums of money and have said no,” Young said.

Young says the sex tape is in a safety deposit box at a bank. Hunter filed a lawsuit late last week to get the tape back. Young says he found it in a box of trash during the time Hunter was pregnant with Edwards' lovechild.

Young says he actually feared for his life when he was covering up Edwards’ affair.

“For several months I used to get up at 3 a.m. and walk around the house with a baseball bat and a knife,” he said.

He says an enraged Elizabeth Edwards left a scathing voice mail for him.

"Andrew, I am tired of playing games with you. And if you want, if you dare, you can call John," Elizabeth Edwards said in the message.

Even after Edwards confessed to the affair, Elizabeth continued to believe it was Young, not her husband, who was the real father of Hunter's baby.

"You are going to have to take care of your baby. And then, you and your concubine and your entire family can stay out of our lives," Elizabeth Edwards said to Young in a voice mail.

John Edwards left a fawning voicemail, thanking Young for covering up the truth about baby Quinn.

"I love you. I really love you, Andrew," he said in the message.
