Mann's employers described the young woman as "very reliable, trusted, caring and socially active." Family members said they became alarmed after one of their children was not picked up from school on Monday.

The American was studying abroad while working as a nanny.

Her neighbor, Peter Kratochwill, told ABC it was "extraordinary" for a death like this to happen in "a neighborhood that is so quiet and safe."
