Natalie Keepers, 19, has been charged with helping improper disposal of a body and accessory after the fact by police in Virginia.
A new twist came Sunday afternoon in the murder investigation involving the death of a 13-year-old Virginia girl as a second area college student was arrested on charges related to her death.
Virginia Tech student Natalie Keepers, 19, was charged with with helping improper disposal of a body and accessory after the fact, Blacksburg police revealed in a statement.
Just hours earler, police announced murder charges against 18-year-old David Eisenhauer in the killing of 13-year-old Nicole Lovell.
Lovell was missing for days after her parents say she climbed out her bedroom window Jan. 27 before police finally discovered her remains near a roadway just over the border in North Carolina.
"Based on the evidence collected to date, investigators have determined that Eisenhauer and Nicole were acquainted prior to her disappearance.
"Eisenhauer used this relationship to his advantage to abduct the 13-year-old and then kill her. Keepers helped Eisenhauer dispose of Nicole's body," Blacksburg police said in a statement.

Eisenhauer has reportedly not confessed to the girl's murder and police said he did not lead them to Lovell's remains.
Police said they were still trying to determine how Lovell and Eisenhauer met.
Chief Wilson did not say how the remains were located just across the North Carolina border in Surrey County.
