The Super Bowl 50 halftime show was packed with stars and chock full of positivity.

The Super Bowl 50 halftime show was packed with stars and chock full of positivity.

The perenially upbeat British pop group Coldplay kicked things off along with hordes of screaming, smiling fans who ran onto the the Levi Stadium field.

Coldplay's lead vocalist Chris Martin ran along with them as he crooned his feel good hits and then hit the stage, which was lit up with a technicolor array of LEDs that changed as he danced.

The colorful, upbeat theme was driven home as performers spun around the field with bright orange and pink umbrellas and the spectators themselves held paper that would eventually spell out "Believe in Love" when viewed from afar.

But before the show came to that rainbow-colored close, Bruno Mars showed up decked out with his backup dancers in all black and gold chains.

Mars did what he does best, crooning his dancy jams while showing off his gravity-defying footwork.

Before viewers could get too anxious to see the brightest star of the show, Queen Bey showed up with a battalion of afro-sporting dancing beauties and the trio was complete.

Just a day after she surprised fans with a new song, Formation, Beyonce performed the soon-to-be hit for Super Bowl viewers.

Following her solo mini-performance, Bey joined her co-performers onstage, where they all joined in to sing Mars' Uptown Funk.

The group briefly parted ways to give Coldplay back the stage. As Martin sang, a supercut of halftime shows of yore played on screens and for the television audience.

Mars and Beyonce soon reunited with Martin on stage as a huge group of backup dancers and others gathered behind them to help them end the show with a soaring rendition of Coldplay's Up & Up.

Following the show, Beyonce appeared on millions of televisions once again, this time in a commerical that announced her plans for a summer stadium tour dubbed the Formation tour.
