A 26-year-old woman and two of her daughters were killed and their surviving sister was left fighting for her life after the mother's boyfriend allegedly attacked the four with a knife at a hotel in Staten Island, New York on Wednesday, according to officials and a police source told INSIDE EDITION.
Police found Rebecca Cutler and her daughters, two-year-old Miracle, one-year-old Ziana and four-month-old Maliyah, with multiple stab wounds at the Ramada Inn at 535 N. Gannon Ave. in Bulls Head at 10:11 a.m., officials said.
All four were rushed to local hospitals but Cutler and little Ziana could not be saved.
Baby Maliyah, whom Cutler had with her 23-year-old boyfriend Michael Sykes, succumbed to her injuries, succumbed to her injuries later in the day, officials said.
Only two-year-old Miracle survived. She is in stable condition at Richmond University Medical Center, officials said.
Police said Skyes is wanted for questioning in connection to the stabbings.
Sykes allegedly called his mother saying he killed his girlfriend and his mother called 911 to report the incident, a police source said.
Police were combing the city for Sykes, who remained at large hours after the killings, checking all city buses for the Brooklyn native who went by "Da Kid," the source said. He also goes by the nickname, "Skyes," officials said.
The hotel is used by the Department of Homeless Services to house families. Attempts to reach an official at the hotel were not immediately successful.
Police closed North Gannon Avenue near the hotel, creating a backup on the service road that reached the Staten Island Expressway's Victory Boulevard exit.
