“This is a problem that knows no boundaries. It's affecting rich and poor alike,” he told IE.

The candidates are hearing it, too.

Donald Trump recently said: “It's one of the questions I get asked about all the time.”

Muir anchors a special episode of 20/20 Friday night titled: "Breaking Point: Heroin In America."

In the special, Muir explored how children are learning how to administer an antidote called Narcan to somebody in the throes of a heroin overdose.

“Children as young as 10 and 11 are being taught how they can save someone,” he told IE. “It's a terrible problem.”
