Arrested Speeder Who Needed to Use the Bathroom Uses Patrol Car Instead: Cops
An accused Florida speeder told police who pulled him over that he needed to get to a bathroom before allegedly leading them on a car chase that ended in an arrest...and an accident.
Police in Lake County stopped 24-year-old Carlos Adonis Ramos-Erazo on Thursday after they say they clocked him going 75-mph in a 55-mph zone.
Ramos-Erazo told officers he was speeding home to get to the bathroom, reports the Daily Commercial.
According to a Lake County deputy, Ramos-Erazo refused to get out of his vehicle. When the officer reached through the driver’s door to unlock it, Ramos-Erazo allegedly drove off and struck the officer’s arm.
With the police in pursuit, Ramos-Erazo allegedly made it home, left his vehicle and ran. Police then shot him with a Taser.
While en route to county jail, police say Ramos-Erazo defecated and urinated in the back of the patrol car.
Ramos-Erazo was booked on multiple counts, including fleeing / attempting to elude police officer in patrol vehicle (normal speed), battery on law enforcement officer, aggravated assault w/a motor vehicle on a law enforcement officer, and resisting with violence, resisting without violence.
Ramos-Erazo was released on $15,000 bond Thursday and is due back in court for arraignment April 4.
