Donald Trump advisor George Ross has slammed the former "Apprentice" contestants who publicly denounced the presidential hopeful.

Last week, three former contestants held a press conference to express their concerns over Trump winning the presidency.

"Trump has appealed to the lowest common denominator of fear, racism and divisiveness in our populace, and this mix is never the path to American progress," said Kwame Jackson, runner-up from season one, during the press conference.

Ross, who also appears as one of Trump's advisors on the show, told INSIDE EDITION the comments were "ridiculous."

"These people were fired so they might not like what happened or how he did it on the show," he told IE. "Donald on occasion can be pretty brutal but come on! That’s got nothing... They don’t know the real Donald."

While Randal Pinkett, who won the show in 2005, told IE that he does not believe Trump is qualified to run the country, Ross said that is not the case.

"He's a superb negotiator," Ross said. "He's a talent. He's a breath of fresh air and he's extremely bright."
