New photographs of Princess Charlotte were released this weekend to mark the royal’s first birthday on Monday.
The pictures of the tot, taken by her mother the Duchess of Cambridge, showed her walking with the assistance of a colorful toy and sitting in a tiny chair at the family’s country home.
Kensington Palace officials said the tiny princess, who is the daughter of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, received letters and gifts from 64 countries for her first birthday.
Among the presents, she received a jigsaw from President and Michelle Obama, as well as a soft toy modeled on the White House dog, Bo.
British Prime Minister David Cameron gave her Hans Christian Andersen's Fairy Tales, while the prime minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau, sent a snowsuit and a book, according to The Associated Press.
The new photos of Charlotte were taken in April at Anmer Hall in Norfolk.
“The Duke and Duchess are very happy to be able to share these family moments, ahead of their daughter’s first birthday,” the Palace said on Twitter. “We hope that everyone enjoys these lovely photos as much as we do.”
Admirers flooded the internet with praise of the photos.
“So much sweetness. Thank you so much for sharing,” one person commented.
Another wrote: “She is SO cute!! Looks so much like her brother!!”
The most recent public photo of the precious Princess before those released to mark her birthday was one in which she sat on her great-grandmother’s knee to mark Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday last month.
