LeBron James Booed by Cleveland Crowd

LeBron James was greeted with boos from Cleveland basketball fans as he played his first game in their town since leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers for the Miami Heat. INSIDE EDITION has the scoop.

Boos rain down on "The King" as Cleveland fans unleash their rage at former hometown idol LeBron James.

Some guys in the crowd spelled out "Betrayed." One sign read, "The traitor is in town tonight," and a t-shirt read, "The Lyin' King."

Fans shouted things like, "LeBron's a traitor!" and  "He's done our city wrong!"

It was James's first return to the city he famously spurned for Miami last summer. He was introduced to the theme music for Star Wars villain Darth Vader.

But James seemed to enjoy the role of the villain, and even whipped fans into a fury during his signature pre-game chalk toss.

So who had the last laugh? James scored 38 points and Miami easily beat Cleveland. Here's his reaction to all that fan anger.

"It's nothing personal. It's a basketball game," said James.
