Claudio Bevilacqua, 43, allegedly stole the 'Sopranos' star's $3,000 Rolex Submariner after the celebrated actor suffered a heart attack.

The trial has begun for a paramedic accused of stealing James Gandolfini's Rolex as the actor lay dying in 2013.

The trial for Claudio Bevilacqua, 43, began Monday, nearly three years after the alleged theft of The Sopranos star's $3,000 Rolex Submariner watch.

The 51-year-old actor's camp reported the watch missing to his insurance following Gandolfini's death from a massive heart attack in Rome.

It is not clear whether the watch was taken from Gandolfini's room at the Boscolo Exedra Hotel or slipped off his wrist, NBC News reports.

Monday's hearing was reportedly brief and Bevilacqua was not present. The judge postponed the trial until November.
