Celine Dion took the stage at the Billboard Music Awards with a commanding performance Sunday night — her first on TV since the death of her husband, René Angélil, in January to cancer.

She even performed a song appropriate for the occasion, covering Queen’s 1991 hit, “The Show Must Go On.”
Soon after her spellbinding performance, she broke down in tears while accepting the Billboard Icon Award from Seal.
Her son, René-Charles Dion Angélil, 15, surprised his mother on stage.
The emotional singer told the crowd: “I'm sorry for crying, I want to be strong for my family and kids. I don't want to cry in front of you, you make me so happy."

Once she regained her composure, she told the crowd: "The show must go on!"
