Police Fawn Over Orphaned Fawn After Citizen Brings It to Precinct

Hartford police have a new friend on the force.

Hartford, Connecticut police rescued a fawn on Sunday after its mother was struck by a car, and the deer was embraced by the long arm of the law.

A citizen discovered the fawn lying next to its mother on the highway, they took the baby deer to the front door of the police department.

Officers cared for their new friend and posted photos of their little buddy on Facebook.


They later contacted Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the fawn was taken to a rescue farm.
