The boyfriend fatally shot his girlfriend, then himself, while their baby was in the backseat, authorities said.

A baby in Maryland is now without parents after the father fatally shot his girlfriend and then turned the gun on himself in an apparent murder-suicide, authorities said Monday.

The bodies of Madison Jensen, 20, and Jonan Gonzales-Funes, 27, were found inside a car by Accomack County Sheriff’s deputies on Maryland’s Eastern Shore Saturday, officials said.

The couple’s baby, who is only a few months old, was inside a car seat in the back. There was nothing on either parent’s social media profiles to indicate the name or gender of the child.

The baby was fine except for multiple mosquito bites, family members told CBS affiliate WTKR-TV.
