Jeffrey Hazelwood, 20, is accused of following Natalie Henderson, 17, and Carter Davis, also 17, behind a Publix store August 1.

Hazelwood's attorney has said he will provide a vigorous defense, CBS News reports.

A delivery driver discovered the bodies of Henderson and Davis behind the store. Police believe Hazelwood followed them there and shot them both execution-style. Police believe Hazelwood acted alone.

Roswell Police Detective Zachary Frommer told InsideEdition.com that it was "good old fashion police work" that led them to Hazelwood. "It was a multitude of things that happened to point to this person."

Davis, who was found on what was supposed to be the first day of his senior year of high school, was an athlete with hopes of extending his lacrosse prowess to the college level.

Henderson was also active in extracurricular activities, her band director at Roswell High School said in a statement.

"Tonight we grieve the loss of one of our own," Dr. Michael Moon wrote following the grim discovery. "Natalie Henderson was a thriving member of the Color Guard — a fun, talented young woman who was loved by so many. Her absence will be felt by each of us tomorrow and for a long time to come. During this difficult time, we ask that you keep the Henderson family in your thoughts and prayers."
