Woman With 'No Regrets' Tattooed On Neck Apologized Profusely As She Robbed 7-Eleven: Cops

Officers joked the 42-year-old arrested for armed robbery should have gotten a more fitting tattoo.

This South Carolina woman's tattoo is a permanent reminder of a phrase she clearly does not live by.

Traci Lynn Tate from Greenville was caught on store surveillance robbing a 7-Eleven at gunpoint, all the while apologizing profusely.

Police identified her later that day by the words, "No Regrets" boldly tattooed on her neck.

Capt. Garland Major Jr., from the Anderson County Sheriff's Office, laughed as he told InsideEdition.com that she probably should have gotten a more fitting tattoo.

According to a police report, the 7-Eleven clerk was outside smoking a cigarette when Tate, 42, approached him on Wednesday afternoon. They joked around before going inside the store.

That's when the mother of two placed an open bag on the counter and said "she needed the money from the register," according to an incident report.

"She then advised she was sorry, and advised him that she had a gun inside her pocket," the report continued.

The shopkeeper filled her bag, but before she left, she "stated she knew how the money system worked and requested [the shopkeeper] to use the machine and mash the button for a roll of additional twenty dollar bills.

"After she received the money, the female apologized again and left," the report stated.

Major told InsideEdition.com that after viewing surveillance footage, an investigator recognized the woman from a previous arrest, but not the tattoo.

"We went onto her Facebook page, and lo and behold," he said, "the tattoo was new."

According to officials, this is the fourth time Tate was arrested for armed robbery.

In 2014, she was charged with a count of armed robbery and one count of attempted armed robbery for holding up two convenience stores. In one, the clerk told her, "You don't have a gun. You're not showing it to me. Unless you've got a gun, I'm not giving you the money," officials said.

According to officials, she was sentenced to 10 years in prison but the sentence was reduced to five years probation after she agreed to plead guilty.

She was also wanted in connection with another Greenville robbery last week.

Tate was booked hours after initially holding up the 7-Eleven and has since been charged with one count of armed robbery for this incident, and another count for the incident last week.

She is currently being held at Anderson County Detention Center on $50,000 bond. She has not yet entered a plea.
