'Criminal Minds' Star Thomas Gibson Fired For Allegedly Kicking Producer

After 12 years starring in CBS' hit drama Criminal Minds, star Thomas Gibson has been fired after allegedly kicking a producer during an on-set altercation.

Gibson has been on the show since it began in 2005. He played criminal profiler Aaron Hotchner.

In a statement, CBS TV Studios and ABC Studios said: “Thomas Gibson has been dismissed from ‘Criminal Minds.' Creative details for how the character’s exit will be addressed in the show will be announced at a later date.”

Gibson said in a statement: "There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement. I regret that it occurred."
