“I don't feel sorry for these people, but I do feel bad for the kids,” the longtime talk show host told Inside Edition. “I would hope that she would not stop him from seeing his children.”

The Wendy Williams Show is celebrating its eighth season on the air, an achievement that has the host calling herself “the luckiest girl in the world.”

But she admitted: "It's not all luck. I worked for it really hard. I deserve this, and that I can say with a straight face. I used to be coquettish and coy. I worked hard for this!"

Williams dished on hot topics, including the recent police shootings of unarmed black men, a subject close to her heart because of her 16-year-old son.

She recalled: “He said to me other day, ‘Mom, I know my job.’ And I said to him: ‘What's your job?’ He said: ‘To make it home every day.’ I didn't cry in front of him, but when he left, I was like: ‘He gets it.’”

Williams said she doesn’t know what is going on in the country with the rash of police shootings, but insists “all cops aren't bad.”

Aside from her hit show, she also has a clothing line on HSN, which she showed off to Inside Edition aboard her double decker bus.

And what's the secret to her success. Williams says quite simply: "Be on time!"
