Sounding Off: Presidential Debate Commission Says Trump's Mic Was Busted

The Commission on Presidential Debates has addressed allegations issued by Donald Trump's campaign that the GOP candidate’s microphone had issues during Monday’s debate at Hofstra University.

On Friday, the commission reported that Donald Trump’s microphone did indeed have technical difficulties.

They said in a statement: “Regarding the first debate, there were issues regarding Donald Trump's audio that affected the sound level in the debate hall."

Trump complained about the equipment following the debate and told reporters in the spin room: "They gave me a defective mic. Did you notice that? My mic was defective within the room. I wonder, was that on purpose? Was that on purpose? But I had a mic that didn't work properly."
