Restaurant Gives Couple Free Wings for Leaving Car at Restaurant and Not Driving Drunk

She is one pound of chicken wings richer.

Paula Grzelak-Schultz got a treat for not drinking and driving — aside from staying out of harm's way.

Grzelak-Schultz returned to Original Joe's Pub and Restaurant, a Canada restaurant, to find a note on her windshield after deciding to leave her car overnight when she and her spouse and got a little tipsy.

She and her husband along with some friends shared some wine on a night out and she decided to park the car to be safe and left it there for two nights.

"I found the letter under my windshield wiper bein," Grzelak-Schultz told InsideEdition.com. "I was truly surprised and so pleased, that the manager took the time to acknowledge my good judgement."

But, the note instead informed her that the restaurant would be treating her to free chicken wings for doing the responsible thing.

"Just wanted to thank you for leaving your car parked overnight," read the note, written by Jay McLean, manager of Original Joe's Pub and Restaurant. "I'm not sure if you had consumed alcohol at our restaurant or not, but we wanted to thank you for not drinking and driving."

Grezlak-Schultz was a pound of chicken wings richer with her newfound coupon for free wings.

"The note would have sufficed, but the credit for hot wings was an even nicer surprise," she said.

According to WSB-TV, McLean started randomly leaving notes on cars left overnight about a year ago thoughtful drivers.

“I just hope they feel appreciated and thanked for not getting behind the wheel,” McLean told Global News.
