Southwest Air employee Michael Winchester was murdered in what cops are calling a premeditated attack.
An airline employee was shot dead in what Oklahoma City police are calling a premeditated, targeted attack.
What's more, the victim in the Tuesday shooting has been identified as the 52-year-old father of Kansas City Chiefs long snapper James Winchester.

Michael Winchester, an employee of Southwest Airlines, was shot outside Will Rogers World Airport at about 3:30 p.m. and later died at the hospital.
His son's agent confirmed the news via Twitter.
"I'm devastated to confirm for news outlets that my client @J_Winchester41 lost his father today to tragic & senseless gun violence at OKC," Ken Sarnoff wrote.
From the team's account, the Chiefs tweeted: "Our love and support is with James and the entire Winchester family. Our heartfelt thoughts & prayers are with you."
At a press conference, police said investigators shut down the airport and began a sweep following the shooting.
Police believe the suspect shot Winchester with a rifle while perched 50 yards away on the upper level of a parking garage.
The suspect was identified late Wednesday morning as Lloyd Dean Buie, who authorities found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a pickup truck in an airport parking garage.
Police told reporters Michael Winchester's slaying may have been linked to his job. He was working at the time of the incident and Duie is a former airline employee.

Michael Winchester was a punter for Oklahoma, where both father and son played, in the 1980s, CBS Sports reports.
In a statement, Southwest Airlines wrote:
"It is with great sorrow that Southwest Airlines confirms that a Southwest Employee who was injured during a shooting incident today at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City has died from injuries. We continue to work with the local authorities investigating this incident. As a result of the police investigation, local flight operations have been halted. We're working to accommodate Customers still in the airport when it was locked down as well as canceling flights departing from Oklahoma City for the remainder of the day. The Southwest Airlines Family is deeply saddened by the passing of our Southwest Family Member, and we extend our heartfelt sympathies and support to his family and Southwest Co-workers at this time."
