Talk about the ultimate revenge – the future princess captivating the world was once the victim of a "bullying nightmare."
"There was a group of girls that called her names and they stole her books and stuff," says one former schoolmate. "At lunch she would sit down with people and they all used to get up and sit on another table."
Middleton was a day student at an exclusive private school in Britain where most students boarded. She was actually considered an "outsider" and "skinny and meek." Another schoolmate said Middleton was "frequently in tears" and suffered from stress-induced eczema from all the bullying.
The revelations come from a new book called Kate.
She withdrew from the school and her parents sent her to another school, where she blossomed, beginning her journey to becoming the confident and radiant young woman that we see today.
On their wedding website, she and fiancé Prince William suggest "Beatbullying" as one of the charities to which guests could donate in lieu of gifts.
The anti-bullying charity is just one if 26 organizations Kate and William are asking their wedding guests to support.
