First, the dashing groom arrived dressed in his formal scarlet military uniform. William looked very nervous arriving at Westminster Abbey with best man Prince Harry.
The two brothers clearly share an unbreakable bond standing firmly at each other's sides as they did 15 years ago at their mother's funeral.
As they walked you could see Harry ask his brother, "Are you ready?"
A star-studded crowd filled Westminster Abbey, including Elton John and David and Victoria Beckham. Posh donned a navy dress and from her own clothing collection and a Philip Treacy hat.
London's streets erupted with roaring applause as bride Kate passed by in a Rolls Royce with extra large windows. A radiant Kate waved to the throngs from the back seat with her proud dad, Michael, by her side.
Kate emerged looking princess-perfect. She graciously said hello to the crowd as her sister Pippa, the maid of honor, smoothed out her gorgeous gown.
Kate strolled down the aisle tenderly holding on to her father's hand. Pippa followed with a troop of adorable bridemaids and ringbearers. You could see Prince Harry look back at Kate, smile, and say to his brother, "Wait till you see her."
William looked delighted at his first glimpse of his blushing bride, and told Kate, "You look stunning babe. Really beautiful."
He was cool enough to crack a joke at the altar with the whole world watching, saying, "I just thought it would be a small family affair."
The look of love filled the ceremony, Will and Kate kept glancing over at each other and exchanging warm smiles.
With soft-spoken words, Kate the commoner officially became Princess Catherine. Roars from the street echoed in the Abbey right after the vows.
One slight problem was the ring seemed a little small. Will struggled to put it on Kate's finger.
The newlyweds looked much more relaxed as they left the church hand in hand.
It was a joyful moment as the couple came out of the Abbey; bells were tolling, and the crowd was roaring. The bride was beaming and the groom looked like the happiest man on earth.
Despite the dreary forecast of storms, the weather held up and the Prince and Princess were driven along the parade route from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace in an open carriage. It's the same coach that carried William's parents when they were married 30 years ago.
The Queen announced that henceforth Will and Kate will be known by new titles: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The bride and groom cut two wedding cakes at the reception. A decadent chocolate biscuit cake, which was a special request of the grooms and a gorgeous eight tiered fruit cake covered in ivory icing and sugar flowers. It was a sweet end to the wedding of the century.
