IMF Chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn Seen in Suicide Prevention Vest

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, the banker accused of sexually assaulting a maid in a Manhattan hotel suite, was seen at Rikers Island prison in New York wearing special vest called a Ferguson, which prevents prisoners from committing suicide.

INSIDE EDITION's Jim Moret tried one on. Inmates wearing one would not be wearing any other clothing. For inmates on suicide watch, the garment could be the difference between life and death.

Strauss-Kahn resigned from his job as head of the International Monetary Fund.

In a statement composed in his prison cell he said, "I think at this time, first of my wife—whom I love more than anything...I deny with the greatest possible firmness all of the allegations."

Some French newspapers are reporting Strauss-Kahn may be the victim of a conspiracy by his political enemies. One poll says 57 per cent of the French believe he is being set up, which prosecutors say is absurd.
