Wedding Crashers Who Left Polaroid Photo and Note Reveal They Were on Their First Date

"I didn't think he was going to go through with it," college student Carly Wolfson said about her date, Ritchie Barry.

It turns out the couple who crashed a New Jersey wedding was sharing a romantic milestone of their own — their very first date.

The mysterious couple, Carly Wolfson and Ritchie Barry, revealed themselves after they were lauded – and slammed – for crashing newlyweds Karen Fox and Michael Tufo’s wedding earlier this month.

“I didn’t think he was going to go through with it,” Wolfson said in an interview with WCBS.

They somehow managed to breeze through the night, and only left a hint they were there with a Polaroid photo of themselves along with a "buck for luck" and a note that read: "Congratulations! Sorry for crashing your wedding. Best of luck."

Fox responded by posting a photo of the card to Facebook, saying, “I'd like to thank everyone who shared our special day with us... especially these 2! Well played my friends... well played!!!”

After the post went viral on social media, the pair came forward and revealed themselves.

“I messaged her on Facebook apologizing, like, ‘I’m so sorry,’” said 19-year-old Wolfson, a college student. “She was like, ‘Don't be sorry. Best gift ever.'"

She explained the idea of crashing a wedding started as a dare, but quickly escalated as they were seated at the best man’s table.

“I walked in and was like, 'Oh there’s no place for us at our table.' So they put a seat down for us at the best man’s table,” she said.

After that, photographer Joseph Costa of La Moda Studio told InsideEdition.com the pair kept to themselves.

"I didn't see them really talking to anybody," he said. “It didn't seem like they knew anyone, but they were having such a good time."

Wolfson said she and her date tried to blend in, hitting the dance floor and encouraging other guests to join in.

But, it seems that the newlyweds had no problem with the pair showing up uninvited.

“We laughed,” Fox told WCBS while on their honeymoon. “I want to shake their hands and tell them, ‘Good job.’”
