"We offer our thoughts and prayers to their families as they're going to be dealing with a very few tough days ahead of them."

Tillerson added that officials were “still confirming the injuries and deaths of others."

The father of the American who was killed later confirmed that it was his son, Jared Tucker, 42, a swimming pool installer from California, was in Barcelona to mark his one-year wedding anniversary.

"We just got the text — Jared's body was identified at the morgue by his wife," Daniel Tucker, 76, told the Daily News Friday afternoon. "t's just something we really just don't understand. I don't know what else to say.”

More than 100 people were injured in the Barcelona bloodbath Thursday afternoon, when a van drove into pedestrians in a Las Ramblas, an area popular with tourists.

Hours later, five men in a vehicle drove into pedestrians in Cambrils.

On Friday morning, Spanish authorities shot and killed four people in connection to the incident in Cambrils where at least one pedestrian was killed and seven were injured, according to authorities.

Barcelona’s soccer team, FC Barcelona, said they will wear black arm bands during this weekend’s Spanish league match in tribute to those affected by the attacks. The club also observed a moment of silence during practice Friday.

FC Barcelona's bitter rivals, Real Madrid, also showed solidarity with the city and country by holding a prayer before practice.
