Frank Giaccio, 11, of Falls Church, Va., was too occupied with trimming the Rose Garden lawn Friday morning to hear President Trump approach him to thank him for his heart work.

“Wow, you’re doing a great job, Frank,” Trump said as he approached the boy, according to a video of the event shared by the White House press office.

When Trump is finally able to get his attention, Frank could be seen shaking the president’s hand before getting back to work.

“He’s going to be a Navy SEAL one day,” Trump said to the cameras. “He’s going to do great things for our country.”

Frank penned a letter to the President asking to mow the White House lawn back in August.

“It would be my honor to mow the White House lawn some weekend for you. Even though I’m only 10, I would like to show the nation what young people are ready for,” Frank wrote in the letter, which was read to reporters by White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

The letter continued to explain that he has been mowing his neighbors’ lawn, and has a variety of equipment he could bring, including a power mower, push mower and weed whacker.

Huckabee Sanders said Trump would hire the boy, and also offer him a tour with White House groundskeepers, who would show him what it takes to maintain 18 acres of park.

“[Frank] embodies the enterprising and ambitious spirit of America,” Huckabee Sanders said of the boy.
