Police Officers Throw Retirement Party for 18-Year-Old Horse
Hip hip neigh neigh!
He's been a stable part of the Omaha Police Department for three years now, but it's time for Blaze to head out to pasture.
The 18-year-old horse was honored with a retirement party at the city’s equine facility on Thursday.

In a video shared to the department's Facebook page, Blaze's partner, Officer Nathan Waller, led him out of his stall to a sweet surprise: A cake made from carrots, apples and cream, served on a bale of hay.
Waller laughed as Blaze went for the hay instead of the fruit.
During his career with the department's mounted patrol unit, Blaze helped keep the peace during protests and was on patrol during a visit from President Trump.

"Congratulations, Blaze!" the department wrote on Facebook.
Blaze is retiring because of inflammation in his feet. He is moving to Ohio, where he will live on a farm owned by Waller's parents, the Omaha World-Herald reported. Another horse will keep him company.
