Where is Anthony Weiner After His Resignation?
He's undergoing therapy—retail therapy. Newly unemployed Anthony Weiner wound up doing a little shopping at a supermarket right after he resigned from office.
Weiner was seen strolling the aisles at King Kullen supermarket in Manorville, New York. He was singing along to the music and his pregnant wife, Huma Abedin was at his side as they stocked up for a weekend getaway in the Hamptons.
Abedin is staying with her husband "at least for now," according to the New York Times. "I don't think she has made a firm decision," a friend says.
Abedin is said to be still "devastated and shocked" by her husband's sexting spree, and "worried about their financial future."
"Now I'll be looking for other ways to contribute my talents," said Weiner at his resignation press conference.
So what does an out-of-work congressman do next?
He's been offered a cameo on the HBO series Entourage where he would play himself.
Believe it or not, the disgraced ex-congressman gets a pension worth more than a $1 million.
And get this—he can keep his membership of the House gym, the same place he shot those raunchy photos of himself.
President Obama had this reaction to Weiner's resignation: "I wish Rep. Weiner and his lovely wife well. It's obviously been a tough incident for them, but I'm confident that they'll refocus and he will refocus and be able to bounce back. "
Meanwhile, yet another of Weiner's so-called tweethearts is speaking out for the first time. Cheerleading coach Traci Nobles appeared on the Today show Friday.
"I don't regret it," said Nobles.
And even with his resignation, the late-night comics aren't letting up on Weiner.
Jimmy Kimmel said, "He also said he wants to become a better person. But I don't know. Can a man really change in a couple of weeks? It didn't seem like it to me."
Then Kimmel cut to an edited clip making it appear as though Weiner wasn't wearing any pants during his press conference.
