Woman Shows Off Collection of 500 Lifelike Dolls

INSIDE EDITION speaks to a woman who has a collection of 500 dolls that she treats like real children.

She looks like any other mom, tucking her baby in and sitting down for breakfast.

But if you take a closer look, you can see the children aren't real! Marilyn Mansfield has turned her apartment into a silent nursery filled with handmade, eerily lifelike dolls she keeps carefully arranged in cribs.

Mansfield is featured on TLC's new show, My Collection Obsession, which airs August 21st.

The 33-year-old has over 500 dolls in her house, and she looks after them as if they were real. She even combs their hair and takes them to the park.

Unbelievably, she says she's probably spent over $20,000 on her doll collection, and it shows!

Many of the dolls in her home on Staten Island, New York, have real human hair and incredible details that make them more realistic. One doll has spit bubbles, and another one breathes! You actually can see its little chest rising and falling.

But not all Mansfield's kids are fake. She's actually a married mom of three. Her 12-year-old daughter Skylar spends hours every day helping her mom groom and care for the dolls.

"My friends, some of them think that it's a little bit creepy because they look so lifelike and they think that the open-eyed babies are kind of staring at them," said Skylar.

And just when you think it can't get any more bizarre, we stumbled onto her collection of zombie dolls. There's even a doll made to look like the baby in The Adams Family. But there is one doll that has to be the strangest, it's a baby with horns and fangs.

"This is my husband's favorite one. Isn't it cute?" asked Mansfield.
