Arizona Family is Livin' for the Apocalypse

The new TLC show Livin' for the Apocalypse stars a family that is taking their preparations for Doomsday 2012 very seriously. INSIDE EDITION has more.

It's one of the strangest family rituals you'll ever see.

A mother and father have made a game of seeing which of their two kids can get dressed in full body protective gear the fastest!

They even have children's gas masks.

The kids even play outside wearing their full body armor!

Why? Dennis and Danielle McClung of Mesa, Arizona, believe the apocalypse is coming on December 21, 2012, the date the Mayan calendar ends, and they want their kids to be ready.

"Quite honestly I do not think that my kids understand the apocalypse coming. But basically with preparedness, or anything else in life, we're not going to lie to our kids," said Danielle.

Dennis told us about his online business, 2012supplies.com, which sells end of the world supplies to people all over the world.

"My top sellers would be water purification tablets followed by 72-hour kits which is very important, everything you need basically for three days," says Dennis.

Now, Dennis and his family are telling their story in TLC's Livin' for the Apocalypse premiering this Sunday.
