After a man posted video of himself telling a Chick-fil-A employee he thought the fast food chain was a hateful corporation, he was fired by his own company. Now, he's issuing an apology. INSIDE EDITION has the story.
Adam Smith, the guy who caused a national uproar for ranting at a young Chick-fil-A employee, is now apologizing to her.
"Chick-fil-A is a hateful corporation," Smith said in the video.
Smith was fired from his job as Chief Financial Officer of a Tucson medical manufacturing company after he posted a video of his rant at a drive-through window on Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day.
"How did I lose it? By making you listen to my frustration. It wasn't right," said Smith.
He was angry that Chick-fil-A's president Dan Cathy supports efforts to block gay marriage.
The polite Chick-fil-A employee named Rachel never stopped smiling during the entire rant.
Now, Smith says he never meant to verbally attack the employee and is sorry he went too far.
"You handled my frustrating rant with such dignity and composure. Every time I watch the video, I'm blown away by really, the beauty in what you did and your kindness and patience with me," said Smith.
