Couple Moves Into Real-Life Castle
A man's home is his castle, and in the case of one Missouri man, it's literal.
A couple just purchased an 8,000 square foot castle, but it's not nestled in the English countryside—it's right here in America in Eureka, Missouri.
Brandon and Kate Smith are currently raising their 3-year-old son, Casen in a modest home on a quiet street. But they're putting the house on the market and moving to a deluxe fortress nestled on six acres of land.
Brandon told INSIDE EDITION, "I had looked at pictures online and was kind of awestruck."
The couple actually bought the home, called "Stuart Castle," for a steal. They paid just $395,000 for the palatial estate.
It has all the makings of a castle fit for a king.
"I love the earthy feel of the house with all the stonework, and wood floors and archways," said Kate.
Hiding behind a bookcase is a secret passageway leading to the basement. There's another secret passageway that leads to the wine cellar. And an enormous kitchen is a chef's paradise.
Kate said, "But what I'm really excited about is the indoor barbecue pit, which we can do pizzas, chickens and kebabs."
And, you won't get cold in this castle because it even has eight fireplaces.
