The woman at the center of the cheating scandal that brought down former New York Governor Eliot Spitzer is on the cover of the new issue of Playboy magazine.
Ashley Dupre is covered with just a satin sheet. Inside she poses seductively on a bed.
Dupre says she's proud of her Playboy layout.
"They are amazing pictures. I am so proud of them and I love them."
But she's struggling to put the call girl image behind her. It's been a bumpy road this week for Dupre. Things got a little heated on HLN's Showbiz Tonight when Dupre was asked about her past.
Dupre said, "My problem with me being involved with what I was involved with is, you know, people don't take me seriously. And what I'm doing is I'm working for their trust and I know that I have to earn their trust."
Playboy's headline says it allâ¦It's the "Year of the Other Woman." INSIDE EDITION's Les Trent asked Dupre about those other mistresses of famous men like Tiger Woods, Jesse James, and John Edwards, who have been dominating the news in recent months.
Trent asked, "What do you think about the idea of blaming the mistress for the affairs?"
Dupre said, "It's easier for the wives to take it out on the mistress. I don't know. They don't really want to take it out on the real problem, which is their husband."
In addition to the Playboy cover, Ashley is also launching a music career. INSIDE EDITION caught up with her at the studio where she's rehearsing a new single.
The former call girl has a message for wives like Elin Woods and Sandra Bullock, whose husbands have strayed.
Les Trent asked Dupre, "When you look at the story of Jesse James and Sandra Bullock, what would you advise her?"
"I think I would advise her, what I would advise Elin. If every time his cell phone goes off or a text message comes through, she's going to feel insecure, it's not worth her sanity," said Dupre.
