Ray Lewis Gets Apology From Wes Welker's Wife

After a season ending loss to the Baltimore Ravens, the wife of New England Patriots player Wes Welker is apologizing after she posted comments on Facebook about Ravens star Ray Lewis.

The stunning wife of Football superstar, Wes Welker is under fire over a nasty rant she made on Facebook.

Anna Burns Welker, a former Miss Hooters International, who is married to New England Patriots Wes Welker, took aim at Ray Lewis of the Baltimore Ravens.

Anna posted on her Facebook page, "6 kids 4 wives. Acquitted for murder. Paid a family off. Yay! What a hall of fame player! A true role model."

Anna’s rant came right after the Ravens beat the Patriots in Sundays AFC championship game.

Lewis was arrested in 2000 after two people were stabbed to death during a Super Bowl party. Murder charges against Lewis were dropped after he became a prosecution witness.

Michael Strahan took Anna to task on Live With Kelly & Michael. Michael said, "This is not standing by your man. That’s just being a not-nice person."

And she also came under fire on The View. Sherri Shepherd said, "She attacked his children...he may have young kids who dont even know what happened 12 years ago."

Anna is now apologizing, “I’m embarrassed for being as sore loser. I let the competitiveness of the game…get the best of me.”

It's an echo of an incident after last year's Super Bowl. Supermodel Gisele Bundchen, wife of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, ripped into other Patriots players for not catching Brady's passes.

One of the players she took aim at was Anna's husband, Wes Welker.
