Authorities Say Miami Cops Caught Slacking On the Job

They pledged to serve and protect, but apparently only when it didn't interfere with their lives.

A Miami cop was too busy making out with his girlfriend to respond to an urgent 911 call about an armed robbery nearby.

On another day, that same cop was enjoying coffee with two other officers, while reportedly ignoring an urgent call about a sick child.

Authorities say Miami police officer Dario Socarras is one of six officers caught on camera ignoring emergency dispatches.

Sergeant Jennifer Gonzalez was caught shopping at a supermarket and meeting up with her  boyfriend while she was supposed to be on duty. And another woman was leaning into the window of a patrol car to kiss her boyfriend who was supposed to be on duty.

The shocking, just-released surveillance videos were shot by internal affairs investigators.
